Hollywood Fringe Feature Film. Finale.
I choreographed the dance finale for the indie feature Hollywood Fringe in 2018. Darby Epperson was my assistant and kind of rocked it all.
Dance is often not credited in film and this was no exception. Grateful that I finally have footage. Now to get it listed on IMDB. |

No Dominion.... a dance film
|
No Dominion is a music video/dance film hybrid to music by AutoDealer (Matthew Richter). We created this piece during the Covid lockdown in reaction to, as artists, the destruction of our community, both internal and external. The insane forces of climate change, social upheaval and the unbelievable pain and isolation of months of social distancing and the closure of our arts venues were all almost too much to handle. Almost. This is our answer. Music: AutoDealer Choreographer/Costumes: Nancy Dobbs Owen Director: Bradley Bentz DP/Editor: Matthew Clay Dancers: Darby Epperson, Ryan Ruiz My assistant: Annie Grove MUA/Set Photographer: Charlene LeFever |
Finding Freedom in Restraint....a Covid Era Dance Film
Choreographer and Dance Educator Christa Oliver invited me to contribute to this short film with an international cast of creators. I was so honored to create a phrase. My dancers and I were so overwhelmed with gratitude when we finally got together, in person, to shoot. We rehearsed entirely over zoom so to finally feel each other's energy was such a joy. I love what we contributed and am so moved by the entire project.

Hollywood Fringe Feature Film
|
The trailer for Hollywood Fringe just dropped and the feature is starting to hit the festival circuit. Produced by Sleeper Cell Films, it was written and directed by the married team of Megan Huber and Wyatt McDill. I choreographed the little dance bit. Posting the trailer and will add the entire scene when I can! The always awesome Darby Epperson assisted on this gig.

This is cell phone footage, so view with that in mind!

The following clips are West Side Story Suites. What a glorious piece of music! There is the idea of the story but we did not assign characters nor sides to the dancers. Everyone was a Jet, a Shark, a young lover....
Once again, cell phone video so excuse the occasional head or additional phone in frame!

Nevada Line, produced with my creative partner Heidi Marie, is a dance passion project. I co-directed, choreographed, and costumed while Heidi co-directed, shot and edited. We also shared art direction duties, location scouting and pretty much everything else. Playwright Samantha Macher as worked on this two films as a producer and wrote the song Nevada Line.
